The Story of EFT

Our journey starts way back with ancient Chinese acupuncture, a practice that's been around for thousands of years. The idea was simple yet profound: balance the body's energy pathways, or meridians, to promote health and well-being.

In the early 1980s, American psychologist Dr. Roger Callahan made a groundbreaking discovery. He found that tapping on specific acupuncture points while focusing on an issue could provide rapid and lasting relief from emotional distress. His big "aha!" moment came when he successfully treated a patient with a severe water phobia by having her tap under her eye. This was the birth of Thought Field Therapy (TFT).

In the 1990s, Gary Craig, a Stanford-educated engineer, trained under Dr. Callahan and saw the potential of TFT. He wanted to make it more accessible to everyone, so he developed a standardized tapping sequence that could be used for a wide range of issues. No more complex protocols! Craig named this simplified version Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).

Since then, EFT has taken the world by storm. It's been the subject of numerous scientific studies, and over 300 of them have validated its effectiveness in treating various emotional and physical issues, from anxiety to chronic pain. Today, EFT is a globally recognized therapeutic technique, helping people find relief and improve their lives.

From ancient acupuncture to modern-day tapping, EFT has come a long way, blending ancient wisdom with modern innovation. It's a powerful tool for emotional and energetic healing.
